What is Piaggio? Why it's the name of the family who created the quintessential Italian mode of personal transportation: the Vespa.

Yes, this little beauty is quite possibly the most well known scooter in the world and a perfect blend of Italian ingenuity, style and charm! 

Founded in 1884 by Rinaldo Piaggo, the company Piaggo began as a ship fittings, plane and sea plane part manufacturer! It was was his son, Enrico, who decided to foray into the world of personal transport.
